Introduction and scope
This policy explains what East European Media Service s.r.o. does with personal information in connection with the website at palematrix.online. The responsible entity is East European Media Service s.r.o., U valu 862/2, Ruzyně, 161 00 Praha 6, Czech Republic, company registration 04389174, contactable at info@palematrix.online.
Personal information is handled in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, which are published by the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au/privacy/australian-privacy-principles.
This policy covers palematrix.online and nothing else. The affiliate link leads to goradar.xyz and from there to the website of the game named in the course; those sites, and every other site linked from the course, are run by other organisations under their own privacy policies.
The sections below follow the thirteen Australian Privacy Principles in order. Where a principle has little application to a site that collects almost nothing, it says so in a sentence.
APP 1 — Open and transparent management of personal information
Our practices are set out on this page, linked from the footer of every page. It is written to be read by the people it affects, and it is updated whenever what we do changes.
Our handling is simple because the site is: static HTML served over HTTPS, with no database, no forms, no accounts and no third-party services embedded in it. Questions go to info@palematrix.online.
APP 2 — Anonymity and pseudonymity
You can read the whole course, use every checklist and print them without identifying yourself. Nothing on this site asks who you are.
If you email us, you may use a pseudonymous address and sign with any name you like, and we will still reply. The one exception is a request for access to or correction of information we hold, where we need enough detail to be sure we are talking to the right person.
APP 3 — Collection of solicited personal information
We solicit personal information in one way only: by publishing an email address. If you write to us, we receive your email address, any name you choose to give, the content of your message and any attachment you send.
We collect that because you have started a conversation and we cannot answer without it. We ask for nothing further and never need sensitive information to reply. Separately, our hosting provider keeps server access logs for every request to the site, as described under APP 5; we treat those as information we are responsible for.
APP 4 — Dealing with unsolicited personal information
Sometimes an email contains more than we need: a screenshot with other people's details in it, or a document attached by mistake. Where we receive personal information we did not ask for and do not need in order to reply, we delete it as soon as it is lawful and reasonable to do so, and we do not copy it elsewhere first.
APP 5 — Notification of the collection of personal information
This section is the notification, and the complete list of what is collected.
(a) Server access logs
Kept by our hosting provider, unnamed here, which may store data outside Australia. Each entry can contain your IP address, the date and time, the URL requested, the referring page if your browser sends one, and your user-agent string.
(b) The content of emails
Emails sent to info@palematrix.online: the sending address, any name given, the message itself and any attachments.
(c) Nothing else at all
There are no forms, no accounts, no sign-ups, no newsletter, no progress tracking and no quizzes on this site. It sets no cookies and uses no local or session storage, so the checklists do not remember what you have ticked. It loads no analytics, no advertising tags, no web fonts, no embedded video and no third-party scripts. It builds no profile of you and does not track you across other sites. Every file the site needs comes from palematrix.online itself, so viewing a page causes no request to any other server.
APP 6 — Use or disclosure of personal information
Access logs are used for keeping the site available and secure, for preventing and investigating abuse, and for diagnosing faults. Email is used to answer your message and to keep a record of the exchange while it is needed.
We use it for nothing else. Personal information connected with this site is never sold, rented, traded or shared with anyone for marketing. We disclose it only to the providers listed under APP 8, and to an authority where a law requires it.
Retention
Access logs are kept for 30 days and then deleted or overwritten. Emails are kept for 24 months after the last message in the conversation and are then deleted, unless the exchange is needed in connection with a legal claim, in which case it is kept until that is resolved.
APP 7 — Direct marketing
We do no direct marketing of any kind: no mailing list, no reminder to finish the course, no promotional email. We hold no list of readers and have built nothing capable of creating one. If you email us, you get an answer and nothing after it.
APP 8 — Cross-border disclosure of personal information
Two providers handle information for us. Our hosting provider stores the site and keeps the access logs. Our email service provider holds the mailbox for info@palematrix.online. They are the only recipients.
Neither provider is named here, and their servers may be located outside Australia, so the location of the data may be outside Australia. East European Media Service s.r.o. is itself established in the Czech Republic, so information sent to us is in any case handled in the European Union.
APP 9 — Adoption, use or disclosure of government related identifiers
This principle has no application here: no government related identifier — no tax file number, Medicare number, driver licence number or similar — is adopted, used or disclosed by this site, and nothing on it would ever ask you for one.
APP 10 — Quality of personal information
The only personal information we hold is what you wrote to us yourself and what a server log recorded automatically, so there is little scope for it to be inaccurate. If you tell us something we hold is wrong, we will correct it.
APP 11 — Security of personal information
The site is served over HTTPS, so what passes between your browser and the server is encrypted in transit. There is no database behind it, and no submitted content is stored because nothing can be submitted.
The hosting account and the mailbox are accessible only to people working for East European Media Service s.r.o. Information is destroyed when the retention period above has passed. We claim no certification and no standard beyond what this page describes.
APP 12 — Access to personal information
You may ask what personal information we hold about you. Email info@palematrix.online with “Privacy request” in the subject line. There is no charge, we respond within 30 days, and if we cannot give you something we will say why in writing.
Note that log entries are not indexed by person and are deleted after 30 days, so an access request about logs will usually find nothing relating to you remains.
APP 13 — Correction of personal information
You may ask us to correct personal information we hold, using the same address and subject line, with the same 30-day response and no charge. If wrong information was disclosed to one of the providers above, we will tell them of the correction where practicable.
Affiliate links and what happens when you follow one
Some links in the course are paid affiliate links. Following one takes you off palematrix.online, onto the systems of the affiliate network that operates the link and then of the game vendor. Those organisations may set cookies or similar technology on their own domains to record that the referral came from us, under their own policies rather than this one.
We receive commission reports from the network telling us how many sign-ups were attributed to our links and what we are owed. We use them only to reconcile payment, do not ask the network for information identifying any reader, and could not connect a report to a visitor.

Any website you open leaves a request in someone's log, and this one is no exception. What we can tell you is that the log is the whole of it here: nothing else is kept, in your browser or on ours.
Complaints
If you think we have mishandled personal information, write to info@palematrix.online describing the problem. We will respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacy-complaints, which explains how the OAIC handles privacy complaints and what it needs from you.
Data breaches
If we become aware of unauthorised access to, or loss of, personal information connected with this site, we assess the incident promptly. Where the assessment indicates that serious harm to any affected person is likely, we notify those people and the OAIC in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
Children
This site is written for adults and is not directed at people under 16. Parts of the course are about choosing games for children, but we collect nothing from anyone and nothing here is designed to identify a child. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.
If you are in the European Union, the EEA or the United Kingdom
East European Media Service s.r.o. is established in the Czech Republic, so the General Data Protection Regulation applies to our handling of personal information as well.
Our legal basis for keeping server access logs is our legitimate interest in keeping the site available, secure and working. Our legal basis for handling email is that it is necessary to respond to the enquiry you have chosen to send us. We rely on consent for nothing, because there are no cookies and no tracking here to consent to.
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection in respect of information we hold about you. Exercise them by emailing info@palematrix.online with “Privacy request” in the subject line.
You may also lodge a complaint with our supervisory authority, the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Czech Republic (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů), at uoou.gov.cz, or with the authority in your own country of residence.
Changes to this policy
When this policy is revised, the effective date at the top is updated. Where a change materially affects how personal information is handled, a note saying so appears at the top of this page for 30 days. Earlier versions are not published; if you need to know what it said on a particular date, ask us.
